RAWALPINDI: All-rounder Imad Wasim said on Monday that skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed told the team to make a strong comeback after the loss against India in the World Cup.
Addressing a press conference along with Shadab Khan in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, he said that skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed called a team meeting after the loss against India and told the team to make a strong comeback in the tournament.
"All other players also gave their input in the meeting," he said,
Wasim was all praises for Afghanistan leg spinner Rashid Khan and called him a 'world class bowler'. "It wasn't easy to score against him," he added.  "We should have improved our run-rate in the match against Afghanistan but it was not an easy wicket to bat on."
The all-rounder said that the fans should have shown patience after the Pakistan-Afghanistan match. "We are Muslim brothers, and it was not appropriate to fight with each other."
He said that the team's first goal in the matches with New Zealand and South Africa was to win, but said that the team should have improved its net run rate in the match against New Zealand.
